The Info Easy Reader developed by the company won the "Best Ubiquitous Networking (Mobile Infotainment Application) Bronze Award" in the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2007. The Reader, using RSS technology, makes it easy for people to get news updates with user-friendly interface and informative content from Apple Daily, Ming Pao, Reuters News, Dow Jones Newswire, and more. FreeBlog

3G Mobile TV

In the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2006, the 3G Mobile TV, provided by CSL (jointly with Golden Dynamic Enterprises Limited) won the "Wireless Technology (Mobile Infotainment) Gold Award". It was the first 3G mobile TV service in Hong Kong. According to Mr. Wilson Lo, Executive Director of Golden Dynamic, "3G competition is steadily increasing in regions like Hong Kong, and this deployment of the first 3G mobile TV service is a real differentiator for CSL."

Customers can watch live news, finance and entertainment around the clock on their mobile phones with just one click. CSL has continued to enhance this service by brining almost 30 infotainment stations to customers.

Awards earned by its mobile brands

The mobile brands 1010 and One2Free have also won major awards in recent years, thanks to their innovative products and services. 1010 won the award of "Best of Mobile Network Operator" in the PC Market's Best of IT Award 2006. In addition, One2Free's "Love 123" mobile drama and "i-Date U" Vgirl interactive video game won the "Award of Merit - Mobile Infotainment" and the "Award of Merit - 3G Application / Mobile Game" respectively in the Hong Kong Wireless Technology Excellence Awards 2005.

CSL caters to different needs of customers

CSL was the first mobile company in Hong Kong to employ a market segmentation strategy, which enables it to support all its mobile customers through its mobile brands: 1010 and One2Free. While 1010 target business professionals and corporate customers, One2Free's targeted customers are youth and young adults.

For instance 1010's BlackBerry acts as a wireless extension to business and personal email accounts, enabling corporate customers to integrate multiple accounts with the handheld. Latest Developments

In February 2008, CSL, together with Xanga, the most visited social network in Hong Kong, have launched Xanga Mobile to CSL customers through Intercasting's award-winning ANTHEMTM platform. It was the first time in Hong Kong that mobile users could have direct access to Xanga through a dedicated mobile application.

In March 2008, CSL also partnered with F-Secure Corporation, the global leader in providing security as a service through mobile operators, to offer its mobile users F-Secure's award winning security solution through CSL's "F-Secure Mobile Security Service". It made CSL the first mobile operator in Greater China to provide F-Secure's fully integrated on-device protection and automatic over-the-air security updates to their customers.
